Sarah V. P\u00e9rez, Esq. presented oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on issues relating to eligibility for withholding of removal and protection under the Torture Convention. Specifically, the arguments centered on imputing the past persecution of family members that occurred in the country of origin and while the Petitioner was residing in the United States. The arguments also focused on claim exhaustion and whether or not a claim was actually exhausted when presented before the Immigration Judge and where the Board of Immigration Appeals acknowledges\/dismisses the argument on other grounds.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
